[A/S] tambor doors

on the 72 safari i just purchased all the tambor doors are
are broken except two. Questions what is the best way to 
remove them? What are the tricks? Are replacements out there?
Are they repairable??? What have others done for a fix?? I was
thinking of making some bi-sliding fronts and putting in new tracks. 
Or should i make my own door fronts and hang them on hinges?
Does any one have an owners manual that i could ask them to 
copy for me.
Has A/S or anyone ever used disc brakes on TT's?? Does any one use
them now????  I don't recall any new advertisments on any 
new TT's that claim they do.
 Is anyone doing any anti skid or anti-yaw research????? with the 
micro processers and the techonology out there this looks like some 
good bennies for the tow folks.
Twenty years ago or so I found an old Avion in a dealers back 
row.... the salesman commented that the person thet started
Avion was a relative that had a disagrement with Wally and went
his own way.... can anyone confirm or deny this story????
