Speakin' of practical applications/experience, my dad owns a '93 (? 94 or
so?) Airstream Legacy motorhome and was having big-time problems with the
electronics...being a hands-on guy, he found that by wedging a thing piece
of sumthinorother above his electronics panel would make the thing work -
otherwise he'd get flukey/nonexistent readings, etc..... until he changed
his house battery.  all fixed.
