Terry, Thank you for your enlightenment! The '84 Ford E150 has a 302 engine. I don't know the axle ratio. I will take you up on all your advice but it will take some time to get this all done on a small budget! We doubt we will get the GT roadworthy before next spring, but I will let you all know about our first trip -- you can count on it! I will let you know, also, about Raton Pass. It concerns me because we did a trip to Colorado this past August (not pulling anything and the van was empty except for two suitcases and a Pekingese) and we dropped down to 45 mph going over Raton Pass. I think we have some work to do on the van, too........ <BG> (((((hugs))))) Kerry
