[VACList] repairing pull down shades (was Awning Stitching)

along the same line but can we talk about the pull down shades like that on the
door window or the bathroom window ???  I have stitching on the hem around the
bottom (anchor?) rod which is -- non-existent?  
How can I get that fixed again short of perhaps using cement/glue?
