Charlie,
It's a Thetford toilet, but I found the rear bolt access site hole, and I
got the metal pins out, thereby removing the lid and seat.  Before I get too
ambitious, where do I get the "float thingy" part?  What am I asking for?  I
don't want to take it apart till I HAVE the part - been there and done THAT!
