[VAC] Re: Plasticote-Refinishing

I am assuming you are a do-it-yourselfer so in that case .............you
used to be able to buy plasti-coat in aerosal cans from A/S dealers.
You could clean up your top spots and spray on a touch up coat.
However, if you have never used Walberize to treat your finish I would
suggest you get at it first . Then clean up your spots and use paint
remover to take off bad plastic coat and then spray again. You can
Walbernize these spots in about six months when to Walbernize the trailer
again. I have seen it recomended to Walbernize twice a year,
particularly in the sun belt areas. It goes on easy. Get the type for
your '93 from an A/S dealer. It treats the plasti-coat and helps keep it
flexible and from drying out and flaking off, which is what is now
happening. Some folks, and even airstream, have painted the top section
white. New models after around '95 came that way, maybe they still do.
Couldn't see it without a ladder
