Jeff,
I have a '57 Caravanner that I am restoring. I would be glad to exchange
ideas/problems if you are interested. As far as the weight, I am not sure
but I towed it last year for a week of camping with a Chevy van with a fairly
tired 350 in it and did not know it was even there. I had the
stabilizer/anti-sway hitch and I am sure that played into it.
