Re Bill & Jack's discussion of deed restrictions, I live in a very remote
rural subdivision of smallish 5 to 10 acre ranch'itas with  restrictions on
mobile or manufactured homes. While I was still living in Houston and the
trailer was up here west of San Marcos, Texas and under her protective shed,
some Nosy Nellie lacking anything better to do approached a neighbor to ask
her if the sight of my trailer bothered her. As the trailer sits over 150
yards off the road & behind trees & thick brush cover (i.e. you'd have to
really be trying to even see it) she said no it didn't and added that she
knew that I had no intent of using the trailer as a stationary (permanently
parked) home. I guess the Nosy Nellie was equating my A/S with a mobile home
and thus a violation? What I think is odd is that nobody has ever approached
ME to complain. They'd best not. Our deed restrictions do not cover boats or
RV's (tho they are not supposed to be parked right on the road frontage) and
I confirmed that before I bought the land!
