[A/S] Hiding an Airstream!
Years ago when the condo commandos that bought houses in our semi-rural neighborhood
tried to enforce our deed restrictions (since out the door!!! yeah!) they gave me grief
about my Airstream which could be seen from the road (we live on a corner so it could be
seen from our street plus the main road). I made a lattice work fence that was almost as
tall as the Airstream and planted loofah and squash on the fence. It was very fast
growing - gave it three weeks and I had foliage all over the fence and I enjoyed the
fruits. I put some pvc struts across the top and the foliage grew right over the top of
the trailer as well. No one could see inside the jungle and it lasted for a good six
months. When the fruits died and the Airstream could again be seen I put potted trees
around the lattice work. Had they not backed off I was going to buy camouflages netting
and hang inside the lattice fence so the trailer would be obscured. If you already have
a six foot fence, just buy those potted fig trees that are tall enough to stick up over
the fence and shield the Airstream from view. For that matter you could put them on a
bench or shelf and not have to buy them so big! Those silver jelly beans shine in the
sunlight! <grin>
