[A/S] Re: Dish vs. DirectTV



Something to consider is where you plan to use the system.  If you are 
mainly in the east, the look angle (where you aim the dish) for Direct 
TV is much better than it is for Dish Network. As an example, the 
elevation setting for Boston, MA has Direct TV at 32 degrees, and Dish 
Network at 21 degrees.  The lower the angle, the more difficult it is 
to get your signal over trees, buildings, etc.  The opposite is true 
if you are out west, but the elevation angles are much higher for 
both.  In San Francisco, Direct TV would come in at 40 degrees 
elevation, and Dish Network at 46 degrees.
