Don,

What model and year trailer do you have?  We have a 1979 23' Safari with 
two batteries in separate compartments behind the propane tanks.  One of 
the problems with only one battery of the two is how to safely isolate 
the second set of battery cables, I suppose that you could disconnect at 
the fuse panel.
