[A/S] RE: Fuel consumption

One of our members that owns a new big Airstream
diesel pusher just purchased one of the "C Class" SOB motor homes built on
the Mercedes running gear. They bought it because they liked the unit for
short trips, and not because they thought it would get good MPG

While they do get good gas mileage, and would probably be good for short
trips, because the chassis they're built on only has a 10,000-something
pound GVWR, and most of them I've seen have at least one slide, their CCC is
very low (in the 400# range).
