Charles are you talking about the North Side of Lake Pontchartrain? I
live in New Orleans and have never heard that the North Shore to be
lawless. When New Orleans was at it's worst the North Shore was always
considered much safer, which is why they have had such of influx of
population relocating to the North Shore from New Orleans over the
past few years. Unless your son lives in a pocket of lawlessness you
should be OK with just normal precautions. The crime rate in New
Orleans is the lowest it has bee in recent history. I must confess my
Christmas present was a combat shot gun.
