Last year was 1993 for the original design they started with in 1979. 
The "revised classic design lasted from 1994-96. The originals were 
primarily 454 Chevy power although for a brief period in the early 80's 
they tried an Isuzu diesel on the same chassis. The revised design was 
done at least in part so it would fit on a diesel chassic at that is 
what they used.

Sizes ranged from 28' in the begining to 360 at the end

Actually no, Airstream was just begining to stick their toe in the water 
with slide out motorhomes on the Cutter Ford chassis. The big killer for 
the classic was in 1994 when the club changed the rules and allowed flat 
sided, fiberglass motorhomes into the club. "Any hard sided, fully self 
contained rv made by Airstream."
