I'm not...not now, not ever. I like my big capable truck. I'm staying with
some people here in Boulder who were pulling a 21' trailer with a Dodge
Dakota..... they were up in Wyoming and a cross wind hit the rig and it landed on
the roof.... both truck and trailer on the roof.
She is still having problems as a result.
When manufacturers give tow rating they are using the best case scenerio....
they are not counting mountains, winds, rain, 18 wheelers etc....
I know I wouldn't be happy towing a 6100# trailer with a Dakota.
I've criss crossed the Rockies a few times in the past few weeks and my big
diesel F-250 has worked hard for his keep. Going both up pulling and down
controlling.....
