Bill,

I think the led lamps that Daisy is using has the resistors built in to the
bulb package.

I have purchased one of these myself.  They look just like a light bulb base
the screws right in to the lamp socket.  There is no wiring in resistors
involved.  They are made to run off the 13v spec they gave him.

That is why I suggested putting a diode in series to drop the voltage
another .7v to get it at or lower than their max spec.

I keep my trailer plugged in all the time.  The power on lamp kept burning
out every couple of months.  I found a led lamp replacement that has a
100,000 hour life expectancy.  So far its working fine.  The only complaint
is the light is too directional and makes it appear brighter.  Since we are
plugged in when camping it becomes a much too bright night light.  We ended
up putting a band aid over it to defuse it a little.  Need to find a nice
sticker to replace that with ;-)
