I'd add to that:
Carry the cones where they are convenient to grab -- and use them now
and then, just for the fun of it. Even though I'm pretty good at
backing up, it never hurts for me to practice occasionally - especially
for times when I have no other choice than to back into a campsite on
my blind side.
The cones are also helpful for occasions "when" (not "if") there's some
reason why our Airstream is stopped in a location others might not
expect to find it, i.e. side of road while changing a flat tire, in
front of a friends house, in a crowded RV Dealership parking lot, etc.
It's far easier to take some good natured flak for using our cones than
to take the frustration of filing an insurance claim.
