Some states, communities, or camp grounds require an "airtight" connection 
between the sewer hose and the sewer inlet.  Camping World sells an adapter that 
screws into the camp ground sewer inlet and then a fitting on the end of the 
sewer hose that fits in the screw-on adapter.  Also, you can get a rubber 
adapter that is tapered.  It fits around the sewer hose and in the camp ground 
sewer inlet.
