RE: [A/S] Water filters in general

Jack,
We've used the one from Walmart for the past 4 years, since we bought
our '88, instead of the filter under the bathroom sink. It usually lasts
us a year and we also use it to filter water when we fill the tank.  Our
'83 had the Everpure under the kitchen sink and we liked it very much,
but we like that all our water now is filtered.
We don't notice a lack of water pressure from the filter, although we
have very low pressure in our shower hose from the internal pressure
regulator.  We just put up with that, although recently being where the
water is very soft, it takes a long time to rinse off the shampoo and
body wash.
