[A/S] advice making new curtains please!/slipcovers

I have removed the mouldering curtains from the bedroom of our 85 
excella. Will we *ever* be done repairing and able to use it!? These 
are not original and were made of a cotton pink paisley design. 
Several spots are rotted through. 

Has anyone made their own curtains? The going price for the bedroom is 
$500 to have them made. The clips are all there and in good shape, 
plus I could buy new ones from Camping World. Is there a pattern 
anywhere? A way to measure the amount of material needed? Advice on 
lining material? These have just plain white cotton lining. Aren't 
there some new(er) sunblock type materials?  

Yes I will go to fabric store tomorrow with one for a sample and get 
their advice. I just hope someone has made thier own and can advise.

PLUS- what about slipcovers for the stained dinette cushions? I have 3 
teenagers and don't plan to invest in reupholstery right now. Fabric 
suggestions? I want to be able to remove and wash easily. Does anyone 
else have a set of slipcovers? how did you make your pattern? did you 
include the sofa??
