The reasons I like the 70's units are  lighter weight, ease of repair( 
nothing seems
burried or unassesable). While the queen layouts are high on everyones wish
list a twin layout offers the most for ease of walking about (espically true 
in the
shorter lenghts). Function seems to be the operative word over the glamour
of the newer units. But that can be added with the right touch,  steve O
