  If you are looking at making a major purchase like a 
trailer or a tow vehicle, sales folk will often do almost 
anything to get the sale. Including making up stories like 
"over engineered" or "conservative ratings".  We are all a 
little gullible when we are on the edge of " a dream come 
true",  I hope that I am not anywhere near a bad tow vehicle 
-trailer matchup when it does come loose, and I hope no one 
else is either.

As a farm raised, horse trailer pulling and now full timing 
driver, I am horrified by people who say things like " we've 
been towing like this for years and nothing bad has ever 
happened."  I'm also horrified by watching rigs that are on 
the edge of coming loose, weaving and wobbling all over the 
road. Aside from the safety issues, how can anyone consider 
a day of white knuckle terror on the roads recreation?

If you need advise about a trailer puller combination, go to 
your local horse trailer place.  They will advise you and 
help you set your rig up correctly. If your rig is not 
balanced right, no hitch and no puller will make it safe. 
Having a wreck with a trailer is horrendous, can imagine 
having a wreck with horses on board ? Maybe someone should 
make a training video of that.
