Re: [A/S] Faulty Tow Vehicle Recommendation (was: Older tow vehicles

Coming from someone that tows a 1966 26' Overlander, I pull with either
a Excursion diesel or a F250SD/crew/8'bed/diesel. The Excusion has a
wheelbase of about 145 inches, the F250 about 172 inches. Both do a
fine job of pullig the trailer, but the truck with the longer wheel
base does a better job than the Excursion. I get far less tailwag with
the truck. I use the same hitch for both, so I know that has nothing to
do with it. The Excursion is built on the F250 chassis(as far as I
know), in fact the Excursion even weighs more than the truck! My
thought, wheelbase rules! I want the longest, heavy truck I can find.
So, I ask myself "Why am I going to start pulling sometimes with a 1968
International Travelall?" I'm not right, so don't listen to me!
