Re: [A/S] Dogs and Pickups

Personally, no. However, I have seen a couple of such arrangements up close
and can impart SOME information.
This arrangement obviously requires a "hole" through the pickup cab's rear
window. The factory sliding window is ideal. Of course, if such a sliding
window is NOT present, one must be installed. There goes the budget.

This is a GREAT idea, particularly if your pickup does NOT have a rear seat.
If you already have a "topper" (cap) over the box of your pickup, I expect
the cost of such a project would inflate even more as REPLACEMENT of the cap
might either be less expensive or "a wash" when compared to the cost of
retro-fitting the existing cap with the necessary hardware.
A friend has a cab-high topper with NO front window. In its place is a
rubber "boot" that creates a pretty good seal between the topper and the
frame around the pickup cab's rear window.
Your best bet would be an on-site evaluation at a truck accessory store.
Good luck!
