Re: [A/S] bike transport idea

I have come up with the perfect bicycle transport system. First I took a
piece of small iron bar and welded two bolts the same size as is on the from
wheel that attaches it to the bicycle fork. Then I attacked this to the back
of the trailer extending out about a foot at about the same height as the
where the bicycle fork would sit with the wheel attached. The bolts are
positioned so that the front fork of the bicycle will fit over them and
after removing the front wheel I merely attach the front fork to the bolts
and tighten it down with nuts. Now if you can picture this the bicycle is
attached to the bumper upright with the rear tire on the ground. There is no
weight on the bumper and the bicycle trails along behind the trailer. In
fact you could really get a thrill by climbing on the bicycle and riding
along behind the trailer as someone else drives down the highway. It might
work.

Slow day here in Houston, pretty weather, thinking about spring and getting
out in the Airstream.
