[A/S] refrigerator problems and freshwater tank leaks

There are dramatic photos of an Overlander that burned up -
on e-Bay at the moment - The trailer is listed as Item # 4520876005.

Here is the direct link - if it works- it may get cut off in translation.

Apparently it was caused by a faulty refrigerator.

#1 This reminded me of a friends dad who has an early 90's Airstream -
I think it's a 25' model. He told me about having returned from a
trip - and parked the trailer in it's normal spot at home - and they left
the
fridge on (I assume he meant on gas). About a week later his
wife went in to the trailer and was overcome and had to get out immediately.
He went out to check - and the fridge was so hot - the interior was starting
to melt. Needless to say he shut it off immediately - luckily no one was
hurt
and he now has a new fridge.

#2 This same trailer - not too long ago he accidentally overfilled the
fresh water
tank. Following that - it developed a leak in the vicinity of the tank when
full -
it would eventually stop after the tank lost about 1/4 of it's water. He
suspects
he might have blown the seal on something when he overfilled it -
an inlet fitting - the sensors in the tank?

Question: Anyone else have this water tank leak problem?
I'd like to relay the possibilities to him before he drops his belly skins
to take a peek.

Thanks.

29 ft. Airstream Overland for Parts
Howdy Neighbor, Do yourself a favor and have your propane system checked regularly, at least once a year for defects, leaks, etc. or your favorite Airstream Land Yacht could go up in smoke like ours did. A faulty refrigerator was the culprit in this case. About all that's left that is salvageable is some aluminum skin, axles, a rear bumper, a few glass windows, some exterior compartment doors, the hot water heater, and the gray and black tanks. Could be the start of a nice flatbed trailer or ? If you would like to purchase individual parts off the trailer they are available, @ $680.00 per part. In other words I'm NOT in the parts and salvage business so dont call or bother me wanting the rear bumper, the water heater, or other individual parts unless your willing to pay $680.00 per part plus shipping and handeling charges. This magnificant "room with a view" is located in Fort Worth Texas and the lucky winning bidder will need a 2-5/16" ball to haul it away. We accept all denomonations of dead presidents but we prefer hundred dollar bills. No checks of any kind will be accepted. Sold AS IS - WHERE IS - NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
