Hi Chris,

You've been told right.  Get the zip code of a small town post office and 
have the mail sent there. 
 Your name
General Delivery
Small Town, USA 12345

Hold for Arrival.

They will ask you for your ID so bring your license with you.

I've never had a problem doing this.  Small towns are best because larger 
ones have more than one zip code, but only one post office that accepts general 
delivery mail.
