Hi Patti, I hate to belabour the point... but you will need the convex mirrors just as much when Pearl isn't hooked up. When you are driving your new big 4x4 truck you will have a huge blind spot and you won't see cars next to you or near your passenger side rear. It has nothing to do with towing. Hunter
