For the money the brown hoses work well and last longer than the blue ones. There 
are a few high price ones that have QD's (quick disconnects) and supposedly made 
of the last NASA approved material. 
There is one that's available now that is real rigid and will collapse down to like 
36 inches, that supposed to be pretty good. Pricey to at around 30 bucks.
As for the fittings I'd go with a Thetford  45 degree to connect to the dump valve 
and a 90 degree fitting with the threaded fitting. One day you may not have that hose 
in there very good when you dump your black tank and end up with wet feet.
