Ah HA!!!

That's what I suspected all along. Everyone that has responded so far  
(including tech support at DirecTV) has overlooked the fact that the antenna 
on the Safari is rotatable. With a home system, the antenna is a fixed 
position, and you need three LNB's to receive each of the three satellites.

Of course I'll have the absolute answer when I actually get the new TV up and 
running in the Safari, and try it myself!
