DTV uses three satellites at 101, 110, and 119 degrees.  The normal
programming is on 101, with most of the local channels on 119 (some locals
are on 101).  I believe the DTV  HD programming is all on the 110 satellite.
You can just rotate your antenna from 101 to 110 to pick up HD or to 119 if
necessary to pick up your locals.  You do not have to receive two or three
satellites at the same time.  The only problem might come if you have two or
more tvs and each person wanted to watch a program on a different satellite.
