When I was shopping for a new truck last year, I discovered the receiver on a '03 Dodge 3500 4WD was around 5 inches higher than the receiver on my old '97 Dodge 2500 2WD. The truck I finally bought, an '03 Dodge 3500 2WD duallie was only an inch higher. Maybe Dodge is the only 4WD that is really tall. Almost needed a stepladder.
