Hello,
My 04 3/4 ton Suburban has 4X4, I agree with Hunter that it is nice to
have at a wet or muddy rally to get in or out. Also I live in WI where
it is supposed to snow all the time (not!) and need it to get around (
have had the thing in 4X4 more at a rally then all winter in WI!) This
is my 3rd Suburban, the first was 2 wheel drive and I would never go
back to it. You do pay for it in gas/fuel/maintenance mileage but I have
never had to be towed into or out of a rally site or campground. I have
seen some bad things happen when they hook that John Deer to you and
your truck and trailer and I don't want any part of that. I also will
say that I have seen people with 4X4s get into all kinds of trouble
because of their lack of driving skills but that's a whole other story.
