Hi Chas,

I wouldn't buy a tow truck without 4 wheel drive. I don't know how it could 
help while hiway driving, but it sure is nice when you are at a rally and the 
rain turns everything to mud. 

Also, there are times when the truck tires spin in wet grass, I just put her 
in 4 wd and go.

I use it quite alot actually to get in and out of camp sites.
