Re: [A/S] 28/30' & short bed truck
Hi All:
What you are describing is the "4 baggie fuel stop" one for each good
shoe and one for each hand... of course any "good clothes" have to
come off and the "fuel stop" rain jacket put on over the nice shirt
the wife bought for Christmas...
The fuel stop description was part of the decision to go with gas to
please the wife, save the $5,000 differential, and to please the
wife....Mary can't stand the diesel "racket" and I have not been able
to get her a ride in an available 2500 that I could buy if I could get
her to enjoy the ride ....
Diesel is very common in Europe and my gear head friends tell me that
we are scheduled to see an improvement in our diesel fuel by 2007 or 8
that will put us on a par with the European fuel...I can't say that
the change will prevent clothes from stinking when you spill on them,
or that the noise will go away, but my friend says the improvement
will reflect in the diesel performance and reduce emissions... We will
probably see more diesel rather than less and some diesel/electric
units with something like the small Volkswagon diesel...
I had a ride in a 4 wheel steer / 4 wheel drive 2500HD that just might
be the "perfect truck" even parks in sharp angle parking slots
without having to "saw" the truck into place....With the front wheels
turning left and the rear wheels turning right the crew cab short bed
parked like a Volkswagon Beetle...Well maybe not quite that easy but
sort of the same feel... like you were able to "goose" the engine and
snap the rear end around....
I wish I could find someone who had a 2500HD Crew Cab with diesel and
4 wheel steer that would let my wife try to park it...That would get
the job done....
