[A/S] Re: noisy diesel

I recently bought a 2004 Ford F250 Super Duty with the 6.0 diesel.  
Most noise is when accelerating from a standing stop.  While cruising 
on the highway I don't think it's much louder than a gas engine.  I'm 
really impressed with the sound insulation on the cab of the truck.

While my girlfriend was not enthusiastic about me getting a loud and 
stinky diesel truck, she knew it was a good choice for towing the 31' 
trailer.  

After she drove it for the first time she has no complaints.  The 
sound of the engine makes her feel important.
