Tom,

The glass that you speak about is not the Corning Glass that 
is no longer made 1966-68. Last I heard, Airstream is still offering
this glass replacement, though it is not cheap. Airstream also
offers a rock guard for that model (smoke in color) cost about
$300-$400. Most Airstream repair places should be ablr to fix
you problem. The question will be, do you want to spend the 
money for the factory fix??
