[A/S] Operating Solar Panel from the Ground

I would like to know if anyone has used a solar panel with their A/S 
with the panel on a stand on the ground rather than mounted on the 
trailer. The idea is to avoid putting holes in the trailer and not 
having trees block the sun.
I looked at the support for the Satellite dish that someone had 
manufactured to sit on the ground, and wondered if a simular stand 
with a device to mount the solar panel, had been tried.
