I did that some time ago, making a frame from angle aluminum, with legs 
attached that swung out to the rear to get the correct angle. Worked fine, 
but we had to go out from time to time and re-orient the panel as the day 
wore on. The angle is available at most home depot type stores or hardware 
stores.

You should get a charge controller of some sort and connect the panel 
through that to the battery.
