Quite a few of us on this list live fulltime in our Airstreams.  I've lived 
in mine for 5 years this month. 

The only issues are getting something to pull it..... and finding places to 
stay in it.  You don't need to upgrade anything unless you live in a cold 
winter area and don't plan to move it all winter, then I'd advise getting a larger 
propane tank.

The fun of living in it is following the nice weather though.

If you want to live off the grid you'll need a big generator or solar panels.
