An Airstream would make a good live aboard unit, as you might say.  
They are well insulated, have heated tanks, and many also have 
thermal windows.

A lot of people live in RV's full time, but usually have a massive 
5th wheel or motorhome, probably for the big slide-outs and extra 
storage you can get on the "basement" models.  However, I think an 
A/S has more style so I just wouldn't haul that much stuff around 
with me.

My suggestion would be to get one about 30 feet in length.  At that 
size you get a real bedroom and a shower stall.
