Re: [A/S] Spindle slop question
This might be a great time to replace the inner and outer wheel bearings
as well as the inner and outer bearing races.
You've got all of the hard stuff done, and you might as well replace the
bearings too. Remember to replace the bearing races along with the
bearings, and replace any rubber bearing seals. Be sure to work new
grease well into the bearings before installing them. Get new cotter pins.
You can't have any slop in a wheel bearing. The bearings should turn
smoothly and show no sign of movement (slop). If you've got slop, there
is something wrong. My guess would be worn bearings and races.
