Re: [A/S] Diesel fuel availability
Hi, Dean:
Do you mean the body of the pump is green, or are you referring to
the cover on the nozzle? Some stations use a yellow cover on the diesel
and a green one on the gasoline. Very confusing, IMO.
The latest Trailer Life has a complaint from a customer who went
to a Pilot station and found that all their nozzles were green (he did not
see that until after he had put 20 gal of unleaded gasoline into his diesel
truck. Had to have the tank pumped out, at considerable cost. Pilot
refused to accept any responsibility, as their pumps are clearly
marked.) I have seen the same thing at other stations. I have a gasoline
engine in my Suburban, and find the use of green covers on the nozzles is
increasing. You must always verify that you are using the diesel nozzle.
