Hi R Berger ,
   I have a 63 flying cloud , my landline in a in compartment located on the streetside 
rear near the wheelwell , just under the trim where the bellyskin bends to the sides . 
It is hard wired to the fuse box which is under the bathroom sink accessable thru the 
rear compartment door . The cord goes thru the floor at the storage compartment , behind 
the toilet and tank and to the box .
   Mine is original , there is no evidence of a double ended cord or receptical for it 
as in earlier models . And I had the inside skin down to rewire so I would have seen it .
