Mark, this kind of response is why HA hitch arguments get to such a
low level, IMHO. A hitch is no substitute or replacement for a braking
system.

The HA is a fine hitch that compensates for a weak tow vehicle or
other inherent rig problems but it will not compensate for poor driver
behavior nor is it necessary or even useful for properly configured rigs.

And I do worry about the hubris factor - that gets drivers into more
trouble than anything else from my experience.
