Hi Gang,

Gosh, I wanted to keep you all updated but I've so busy.......

My party was attended by about 30 people from the list.... everyone liked my 
wonderful location up here on the breezy knoll.... lots of parking and views.  
 We ate and drank and even had some door prizes.  One of the list members, 
Craig, made some wonderful airstream shaped aluminum hitch covers and Charlie 
Burke and Jerry both won one of them..... also had some boot jacks that Craig 
made and were won by listies.

I forget how late the party went. <g>

Wednesday was the vintage open house.... I saw Patti's newly redone trailer. 
The 54 Flying Cloud that spent the winter at Airstream getting new just about 
everything.....

Daisy's trailer won two awards, one first prize and one second.... she'll 
tell you about it.

The trailers were great...... it's so neat to see what you can do to fix them 
up and personalize them.   

That night was Dan and Bob's dinner party at their trailer over the the 30 
amp service park, which a few listies besides myself attended. It was mostly the 
New England people.  

Meanwhile, my friends who own the only class C arrived from Maine so we got 
together later that evening....

I have to confess I've not gone to any seminars at all... I also never went 
to any of the evening entertainment.... I've just been hanging here at the 
airport visiting with friends.... which is why I come to these rallys.  I do like 
going to some of the entertainment in Sarasota because it's right there,,, but 
driving downtown is just a drag. I'll let other listies report on the WBCCI 
stuff....

Friday morning I dragged myself down to the tent with the dogs at 8:30 
am..... it was the pet show.   Bubbles the turle won best in show.... deservedly... 
Bubbles wears an aluminum "Trailer skin" that looks just like a vintage 
Airstream.... 

All the people who are parked at the bowling alley and the empty building 
never did get water or electric..... imagine boondocking for all this time.  The 
temperature has slowly been climbing.... if I had 30 amp I would have use the 
a/c the past two days.  That said, it's certainly bearable....nothing like 
Vermont. The breeze is lovely.

This morning was the flea market, one of my favorite parts of the 
rallies..... Daisy and I went at 8:30. It was packed as always.

My first purchase was an 18 volt cordless Ryobi reciprocating saw.... with 
charger. I also got a new fantastic vent lid, a drink cddy for my chair, an 
Airstream flashlight (thanks Carl) and stainless steel lock thingies for my 
electric and water storage doors. The locks on there now are solid rust. 

Today a few of us all went to the parade in Lansing then to East Lansing to 
see the university and have lunch. East Lansing is quite different from 
Lansing. It has the energy of a college town and nice shops and restaurants.

After Happy Hour with the Freewheelers Doug and I went back to East Lansing 
for a nice dinner... then back here to spend some time with Adam and Susan, who 
have the class C and Rich and Eleanor (he's the editor of Airstream Life, the 
new magazine) and Carol his photographer.... the dogs played frisbee with 
Carol's dog. 

What else, Daisy and I also made a few trips to Home Depot and Harbor Freight 
Tools.  She's putting "beams" in my trailer for me..... 

There's a threat of rain and after the mess 10 days ago quite a few people 
have moved to solid ground.  I'm not worried about it... Bruser will pull me out 
on Monday morning.... I hope.
