I have been buying BPly since my first trailer back in 1967.
If I cannot get a BPly, I get a stiff side wall "tall" tire.  usually from
Discount tires.  Yokohoma makes a very good one.
Cannot stand a squashed silhouette tire.  may ride better but the rolling
resistance in my opinion is higher than a tall, stiff sidewall BPly or
equivalent.

I still have Carlisle BPly on my trailer now.
