don't know when "back then" was but that set of Kelly radials which I replaced
the Michelins with were, in fact Kevlar.  My wife who has a long memory just
told me that.   That was in 1974   ---  I trust that your history goes back a
lot further than that.  btw, those michelins were, in all justice, under a
recall but were being turned in trashed, so fast, at replacement stores that the
recall was hardly necessary.  The Kelly Kevlars were superb tires!!
