[A/S] Acorns in roof fan

Hi, Everyone,

We store our Airstream under a metal shelter but our yard has many native
oak trees and the acorns have a way of getting in every conceivable nook and
cranny including my roof fan compartments which I leave open a bit for
ventilation when we're not traveling. We also have a number of obnoxious
squirrels but it's hard to see how they could climb up the aluminum skin to
get to the roof although anything's possible.

ANYWAY, the problem is/was acorns in the fan boxes. I contemplated climbing
up on the roof to pull them out but worried about denting the skin if I
didn't do it just right. I didn't want to dissemble the screen and box from
inside for such a trivial issue. I tried flicking the screen from the inside
with my finger (like hitting a marble) while the fan was running, hoping
that the fan would flick out the acorn. Instead it acted like a coffee
grinder, much to the delight of our neighbor friends who were watching this
comedy act. Finally I turned off the fan and just continued flicking the
screen from the inside with my finger and lo-and-behold if I did it enough
times the acorn(s) finally popped through the fanblade spaces and out,
rolling down the roof to the ground.
