He really said it like it is.  Each of us have different reasons for why
we Airstream, fulltime or camp.  In the 5 years we've been Airstreamers
and the many years we've been RVing, (we personally have never camped)
we haven't seen 2 people or rigs exactly alike.  Even if we have the
exact twin Airstreams, we usually tow with different vehicles. We may
place things in a different cabinet, travel more than 300 miles a day or
less than 100, use the Interstate or never get on one, use only our
water tanks or never put water in it, boondock or only use a place with
full hook-ups.
In other words, we are all very different people with very different
opinions.
That is what is nice about a list like this, we can share our different
likes and dislikes, but that is exactly what they are, our individual
preferences.
We personally have a 1988 34' Limited that is very heavy, more oak in it
than I would prefer but we bought it because it had what we wanted to be
comfortable, and it has a dinette and a Queen bed.  Our '83 was nicer,
prettier, and lighter, but didn't have the dinette and it had twin beds.
Our 88 Chevy Suburban was a beautiful tri-tone blue and made a lovely
looking rig hooked up together.  When Hunter first saw it and mentioned
how nice it went with the Airstream, we said that's why we are buying
the Airstream.  Little did we know how much we would enjoy an Airstream
trailer.
We now tow with a Green 96 3/4 GMC Suburban, it doesn't make as lovely
looking rig, but it pulls the Airstream so much easier than the '88.
We've towed over 35,000 miles with the GMC, and more than 40,000 with
the '88 Chevy, we been to every one of the lower 48 except Maine.
We use a dual cam Reese hitch, and a Draw-tite brake control.
